Portuguese Airline TAP, to fly direct to Boa Vista from Lisbon

The Portuguese airline company TAP-Portugal is to begin flying direct from Lisbon to the Cape Verdean island of Boavista in November, João Inglês, company representative on the West African archipelago, told the Lusa News Agency.

Mr. Inglês explained that, similar to the connection existing with São Vicente, TAP would be flying twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and always in the daytime due to the lack of international standard lighting at the Aristides Pereira international airport.

Boavista is Cape Verde’s second most important tourism destination, behind Sal, with TAP also planning to step up its flights to the capital, Cidade da Praia, to seven times a week as from June.
